.

• Check in is at 2 pm for Camp, and 3 pm for Cottages/Cabins at the campground office, all guests must register at the office

• Check out is 10 am for cabins and cottages, 2 pm for the camp

• Photo identification required for all guests and visitors over 18 at check in, in case of late arrivals (after office hours)...please notify camp office, also bring in all vehicle information and license plate # when checking in for your registration sheet

• All visitors must leave the camping, cottage or cabin areas before 10 pm

• Overnight guests must check in and pay at the camp office before the office closes (hours and prices posted at shower houses and at the office)

• Campsites, cottages, and docks are non-transferable

• Reservations must be paid in advance. NO REFUNDS on camping or camping reservations. There is a $20 fee for ALL reservation changes.

• Cottages and Cabin weekly reservations require a $200(+tax) deposit, $400(+tax) for Lakewood Pointe, with the balance to be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival. Stays shorter than a week are to paid in full at time of reservation. 

• Vehicles must be parked in the designated area for camp, cottage or cabin.  Please do not park in the yards or on other sites. Additional parking is available- please check with the office

• When driving through the campground please maintain 5 mph speed limit for the safety of our campers

• No off road vehicles, side-by-sides, UTV's or firearms (including BB guns) permitted in campground or on Higby's property

• Camping is all about nature, please do not destroy or damage the trees and greenery or litter, please do not move the fire rings.

• POOL: All guests must have a pool pass/ticket and sign in to enter pool area. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area and visitors can purchase a day pool pass at the office.  Higby's pool is not open to the public.  The pool opens Memorial weekend and closes Labor Day Weekend and is only open daily after June 15th and until August 20th. The pool may close due to attendance and weather. There is no discount for any age. No animals allowed inside the gate/fence.

• No large parties or reunions 

• Children must be monitored at all times and must not play in or around shower houses, no bikes allowed in game room

• Campfires must be monitored and extinguished before leaving. No large fires.

• Firewood may be purchased at the office or game room, (local firewood only, please do not transport firewood, find out why at www.dontmovefirewood.org).

• Alcoholic beverages must be kept at the campsite, cottages, or cabins and are not permitted in the game room or pool areas. No unruly behavior or excessive drinking will be tolerated.  This is a family campground. Please be respectful to your neighbors.

• Pets are permitted with permission and must be cleaned up after, kept on a leash(6ft or shorter) and not left unattended.  Cottages require an additional $50(+tax) per pet fee.  There is no charge to bring your pet to the campground. Pet agreement is required.

• We do not allow tents in the yards of the cottages/cabins

• Dock spaces are available for a fee, check with office for availability

• Cabins and Cottages must be cleaned, broom swept, and all personal belongings gone at the time of checkout and left in the condition they were found in.

• All campsite water connections require a backflow preventer.  If the provided backflow preventer is removed for any reason, one must be installed before connecting to the water system. They are available for sale in the camp store.

• Seasonal Electric Invoices over 60 days past due will incur a $2/month late fee.  Higby’s does reserve the right to disconnect the electric service.  To reconnect, campers may be required to add an electric deposit to his or her account.

• Cancellation Policy: If you cancel a cabin, cottage or pontoon boat reservation you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.  If cancelled within 30 days, no refund will be given unless the cottage is re-rented. There are no refunds for the campground.

• Cottage cleaning policy: There is a $50(+tax) cleaning fee and if the cottage is not left in acceptable condition upon checkout or there are excessive damages, you will be subject to additional charges.   Your account will be noted and you will be required to pay an additional $200 cleaning fee on any future reservation.   You will be eligible for return of the $200 fee within 14 days of checkout if the cottage is left clean.

• Fireworks policy:
  Large fireworks or any fireworks that shoot in the air are prohibited on all Higby’s property. Setting off aerial fireworks or large fireworks on Higby’s property is subject to immediate removal from our property. This is for the safety of our guests and their property.
